Livestock€28m Beef Welfare Scheme closes to Irish suckler farmers on September 23
The scheme pays €35 a calf for pre- and post-weaning meal feeding and this year adds an option to vaccinate against the current bluetongue strain; Teagasc advises working back 43 days from the planned sale date.
