AgrotechUnder Wisconsin solar panels forage caught up by the third cut; alfalfa beat full sun 25%
A University of Wisconsin-Madison Extension trial at the 16-acre Kegonsa solar site found forage plots under panels produced 70 to 88.5 per cent of full-sun dry matter across the season, but out-yielded open plots by the third cutting, with alfalfa under single-axis trackers 25 per cent ahead.
