A state-of-the-art nursery for crop seedlings is growing in a remote village in Rangpur. A group of educated young people with farming knowledge built it to put 100 per cent healthy seedlings of various crops into farmers' hands, and it has already drawn attention in many areas.

When farmers' frustration over seed had built into a crisis, a few educated young farming enthusiasts quietly stepped in to solve it.
Net houses in Ranipukur
In the fields of Ranipukur village, Mithapukur upazila, Rangpur, a large seedling operation runs in picture-perfect net houses. Farmers come from far away to collect seedlings of various vegetable crops. With reliable seedling supply, seed dealers in different areas are becoming seedling dealers.
Factory-style work
Seedling production runs step by step, like an industrial factory, and a number of local men and women are involved. The entrepreneurs say the nursery was set up to guarantee healthy seedlings and increase crop production.
