How to Make a Ripe Mango Smoothie

A creamy ripe mango smoothie can be made at home in a few minutes with mango, milk or yoghurt, honey or sugar and ice.

Fruits

On a hot day, a glass of cold ripe mango smoothie can bring a welcome touch of relief. With its sweet taste, thick texture and the natural aroma of mango, the drink is not only delicious but also nutritious.

With very few ingredients and just a few minutes, you can make a creamy, restaurant-style mango smoothie at home. Here is how.

First wash and peel the ripe mangoes and cut them into small pieces. Put the pieces in the blender jug, and add milk or yoghurt, honey or sugar to taste, and some crushed ice.

Blend everything together for one to two minutes until the mixture is completely smooth, thick and creamy. Once it reaches the consistency you like, pour the smoothie into glasses and serve chilled.

For a thicker smoothie, cut the mango in advance and freeze the pieces, then use the frozen mango. A little vanilla essence or a few mint leaves will also lift the taste and aroma.
