Make mango ice cream with just three ingredients

In the mango season, a cooling mango ice cream can be made at home with ripe mangoes, milk and sugar.

Fruits

In this mango season, almost everyone is enjoying ripe mangoes, and many are making all sorts of desserts with them. But in this heat, nothing cools you down like ice cream.

And if it is mango ice cream, all the better. You can make mango ice cream at home with just three ingredients. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe sweet mangoes
  • 750ml milk
  • Half a cup of sugar

Method

First wash the mangoes well and peel them. Remove the stones and take out only the pulp. Then pour it through a strainer into another bowl so that no fibres are left.

Now mix sugar to taste into the mango juice and leave it covered for a while. Then boil the milk in a large pan for 15 minutes, stirring over a low flame until it thickens.

Next add a little Milkmaid or cream and mix well. Stir for another 10 minutes, then turn off the stove.

Now cool the milk mixture and blend it well with the prepared mango juice for 10 to 15 minutes. Pour the mixture into ice cream moulds or an ice cream bowl and leave it in the freezer to set.

A plastic or glass container works best. Once set, take the ice cream out of the freezer. Serve chilled mango ice cream when you come in from the heat or when guests arrive.
