With a few ingredients from the kitchen and some simple steps, you can make soft, fragrant jackfruit seed sandesh. This sweet with a different taste makes a fine afternoon snack or a treat for guests. Here is the recipe.

First peel and boil the jackfruit seeds. Let them cool, then remove the brown skin. Blend the seeds and mix them with powdered milk. Heat a little ghee in a non-stick pan, add the blended seeds and sugar, and cook for 10 minutes.

Keep cooking for 10 minutes, until the mixture starts to come away from the sides of the pan. Turn off the heat and finally sprinkle a pinch of cardamom powder on top.

Tip the mixture onto a plate and let it cool. Once cool, cut it into sandesh shapes. Your tasty jackfruit seed sandesh is ready. This nutritious sweet keeps in the fridge for four to five days.
