Mechanisation and technological excellence in agriculture are growing worldwide. Hand-operated tools are becoming mechanical, and motor-driven machines are being given Artificial Intelligence (AI). At the same time, the range of automatic machines is growing fast.

The sixth international agricultural machinery exhibition was recently held in Wuhan, in China's Hubei Province.

The exhibition covered 220,000 square metres at the international convention centre of the InterContinental hotel in Wuhan. It was organised by four Chinese organisations of farm machinery manufacturers and suppliers.

A total of 1,993 companies took part. Everything farming needs, from tilling the land to harvesting and even processing and marketing, was on show as a machine-based solution.

Representatives of Bangladeshi farm machinery importers and marketing companies attended, along with representatives of public and private organisations from 60 countries.

The machines improve every year. This time robotic machines found a place, along with some household processing machines. Alongside heavy tractors and parts, many kinds of remote-controlled drones and air sprayers dominated the fair. It was a farm machinery fair, but it carried every feature of modernity and technology.
