Farm machines with Artificial Intelligence (AI) took the lead at Asia's large agricultural machinery exhibition, held in Wuhan in China's Hubei Province.

Farm machinery was on display across 220,000 square metres. The machines have left their inert nature behind and are now almost lively. The unusual exhibition of mechanical products from 1,900 companies in 30 countries raised agriculture to a new height.

The exhibition included seven international seminars, ten policy meetings and other events.

Business people, entrepreneurs, scientists and prominent figures from the media joined to take stock of how far the world has advanced in farm mechanisation.

Japanese journalist Yoshisuke Kishida said the exhibition was organised much as it was last time, but the excellence of the farm machines was noticeable this year.

Indian journalist S K Ali said this year's event was better organised than the last, that participating companies were benefiting from their work, and that the exhibition was very profitable for them.

Bangladeshi farm machinery manufacturers who came to the exhibition were weighing their interests and limitations. The huge machines on display showed that demand for them lies in the large countries, while the entrepreneurs said they are paying sincere attention to developing countries.

Liu Xian, president of the China Agricultural Mechanization Association, said the scale of and demand for the exhibition are growing along with the development of farm machinery. Many new machines are coming for every sector of agriculture, especially livestock and orchard management.

Ru Wei, deputy secretary of the China Agricultural Machinery Distributors Association, said the biggest success of the event was connecting the media with farm machinery traders and importers from different parts of the world.
