Raw mango is a very useful fruit for keeping the body cool and fresh in summer. It is not only sweet and sour in taste but also rich in nutrients, with plenty of vitamin C, antioxidants and various minerals that help boost the body's immunity. It also helps reduce the risk of dehydration, fatigue and heatstroke in hot weather.
This summer you can make a spicy lolly with raw mango. It is tasty and also soothing for the body, cooling you quickly on a hot day and easing fatigue. It is very easy to make, and everyone from children to adults will enjoy it.
Here is how to make a spicy raw mango lolly at home.
Method
First blend raw mango and mint leaves into a smooth purée. Put the purée, water and sugar in a pan and heat, stirring slowly until the sugar has fully dissolved and the mixture has come together. Once the sugar has melted, add black salt, chilli powder, cumin powder and chaat masala and simmer a little longer, stirring now and then so it does not stick to the bottom.
When the mixture has slowly thickened, take it off the heat and let it cool completely. Once cool, pour it into ice-cream moulds. Insert a stick into each mould or cover it well with foil so that nothing goes wrong while it freezes. Leave the moulds in the deep freezer for 8 to 9 hours.
When fully frozen, take them out and hold them briefly under running water for a few seconds, and the lollies will slip easily out of the moulds. Your spicy raw mango lollies are ready.
