Want to serve something new to guests at Eid or any special occasion? Then add prawn and chilli dolma to the menu: hot and spicy, and striking to look at. The pairing of a soft prawn filling with pungent chillies makes the dish quite different. It is made with simple ingredients but brings variety to the table and will give your guests something to remember. Here is the recipe.
In a bowl, mix the prawn mince well with all the spices, leaving out the pickling chillies, breadcrumbs and oil. Slit the pickling chillies lengthways and clean out all the seeds and white pith. Fill the chillies with the prawn stuffing, taking care that it does not spill out. Dip the stuffed chillies first in beaten egg, then coat them well in breadcrumbs or biscuit crumbs, and deep-fry.
If you prefer, brush or spray the chillies with a little oil instead, preheat an air fryer to 200 degrees Celsius and arrange the chillies inside. Air-fry for 10 to 12 minutes until the coating is golden and crisp. Your prawn and chilli dolma is ready.
