Make a Quick Potato Sandwich

A potato sandwich is an easy, light afternoon snack that suits both children and adults.

In our busy lives, many of us enjoy tasty snacks. In the afternoon especially, when a heavy meal is not possible, you can make something light, and a potato sandwich can be ideal. It is very easy to make. Children will love it, and adults will enjoy it with tea or coffee too.

Here is how to make a potato sandwich.

Ingredients


  • 4-6 slices of bread
  • 3 boiled potatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
  • Half a teaspoon of chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons grated cheese
  • Butter or oil as needed
  • Salt to taste

Method


Mash the boiled potatoes well. Add the chopped onion, green chilli, coriander leaves, chaat masala and salt and mix well to make a filling. Spread a little butter on a slice of bread and spread the potato mixture evenly over it. Top with grated cheese and cover with another slice of bread.

Heat a tawa, add a little butter and toast both sides of the sandwich over a medium flame until golden and crisp. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or mint chutney.
