Nutrifresh, an Indian integrated agriculture and food company that grows produce in controlled-environment agriculture (CEA), reported revenue of Rs 219.3 crore in FY26, up 51% from Rs 145.2 crore in FY25, and is targeting Rs 400 crore in FY27, AgroSpectrum reports.

The growth target rests on 105 acres of new farms under construction at Warwadi and Pisavare near Pune, which will add to an 83-acre operating footprint. The company says it has been profitable every year since it was founded in 2019, unusual in a capital-intensive sector, and it has secured a first tranche of Rs 90 crore from a proposed Rs 400 crore debt package from the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). With Rural Enhancers Group it has also signed an agreement with the Maharashtra government to develop 1,000 acres of smart agriculture infrastructure.

Nutrifresh sells to more than 100 business customers, including hotels, restaurants, modern retail and quick-commerce platforms such as Swiggy, Zepto and BigBasket, in 15 Indian states and in the UAE, the Maldives and Singapore. It employs more than 650 people, 60% of them women.

"Nutrifresh's growing business is proof that Controlled Environment Agriculture can work at scale in India and work profitably," said co-founder and chief executive Sanket Mehta. Demand for year-round, residue-free produce from quick-commerce firms and hotel chains is driving the expansion, he said. Alongside its own farms, the company runs a joint-farming programme with farmers on their own land and aims to bring more than 25,000 farmers into it over time.

Co-founder and CFO Ganesh Nikam said the company develops productive farms on barren and low-fertility land with disciplined capital allocation. Its FY27 plan also includes expansion into southern India.
