With litchis plentiful in the market, you can make litchi ice cream at home this summer.

Fruits

Litchis are readily available in the market now, and in this heat you can make ice cream with them. Young and old alike will remember the taste after a single bite. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients

  • Litchis, 1 cup
  • Powdered milk, 1 cup
  • Cornflour, 3/4 tablespoon
  • Milk, 3 cups
  • Sugar, half a cup
  • Fresh cream, half a cup

Method

First mix the powdered milk, 1 cup of the liquid milk and the cornflour in a bowl, whisking the mixture very well. Then add the remaining milk and the sugar to a pan and bring it to the boil, stirring from time to time.

Pour the cornflour mixture into the pan and boil for another 5 minutes over a medium heat. Then turn off the heat and let it cool. Now add the cream and litchi pieces and mix well.

Pour the mixture into a container, let it cool and put it in the freezer for a few hours. Your litchi ice cream is ready. Take it out of the freezer and serve.
