Eid means joy with the whole family, conversation and a spread of tasty food, with all kinds of savoury dishes on the table. Alongside the familiar recipes, something with a different flavour adds to the pleasure of the meal, and lemon fish rice is one such unusual and tasty dish.

Made with fresh fish, the sour aroma of lemon and a blend of spices, the dish is easy to cook and tastes excellent. If you want to bring a little variety to the home menu on Eid day, lemon fish rice can be a fine choice. Here is the recipe.

First cut the fish, wash it clean and let the water drain off. Marinate the fish with salt, black pepper and lemon juice for half an hour. Meanwhile, cook the basmati rice and set it aside.

Put a pan on the stove and lightly fry chopped garlic in butter. When the garlic is fried, fry the fish in it. Once the fish is well fried, add the rice. Your lemon fish rice is ready. Finally, serve this tasty dish garnished with chopped lemon zest and coriander leaves.
