Make a Tasty Dessert with Ripe Jackfruit

Every summer, golden, juicy jackfruits appear in the markets. As Bangladesh's national fruit, the jackfruit is known mainly as a fruit to eat, and most people are used to eating ripe jackfruit by pulling out the bulbs. But this fragrant fruit can also be made into a variety of delicious desserts.

Its natural sweetness, rich aroma and soft flesh make ripe jackfruit excellent for desserts. It can easily find a place in ice cream, pudding, payesh, cake or smoothies. Here is a recipe for jackfruit payesh.

Boil the milk until it thickens. Add the rice and cook it. When the rice is soft, stir in chopped jackfruit and sugar and cook for a few more minutes. Finally add cardamom and cinnamon and take it off the heat. It can be served either cold or hot.
