In the heat, green mango helps keep the stomach cool. It also gives relief from liver problems and is good for hair and skin, because it contains nutrients such as vitamin A and vitamin C.

Ingredients


  • Green mangoes: 3-4
  • Mustard seeds: a little
  • Bay leaf
  • Dried chillies
  • Salt: to taste
  • Turmeric: 1 teaspoon
  • Water: 1 cup
  • Sugar: 3-4 spoons
  • Oil: a little

Method


First peel the green mangoes one by one. Rub them with salt and turmeric, but do not leave them like this for long. Then heat a little oil in a karai.

When the oil is lightly hot, add mustard seeds, dried chillies and bay leaf for tempering. Fry the tempering briefly, then add the mangoes coated in salt and turmeric.

Stir-fry for a while. When done, add a little water and let it boil. When the mixture has boiled well, stir in a little sugar and watch whether it thickens. Once it has thickened a little, take it off the heat and the green mango tok is ready.
