Green mango jelly is easy to make at home with a few ingredients and keeps for a long time.

Fruits

On hot days the sweet and sour taste of green mango brings a special satisfaction. Beyond mashes and sherbets, you can easily make delicious green mango jelly at home at this time of year, and it keeps for a long time. It takes only a few ingredients and a little care.

First, peel the green mangoes and wash them well in clean water. Remove the stones and cut the mangoes into small pieces. Steam the pieces for a while until soft, then blend them into a smooth paste.

Pour the mango paste into a pan and add sugar to taste, a pinch of salt and 2 teaspoons of lemon juice. Put it on a medium flame and keep stirring slowly so that it does not stick to the bottom. If you like, you can add a little green food colouring at this stage.

When the mixture slowly thickens, take it off the heat and let it cool. Once it has cooled completely, fill a clean, airtight glass jar and store it.
