AIGRO, a Dutch maker of robots for sustainable agriculture based in Best, has been declared bankrupt, Future Farming reports. The court pronounced the bankruptcy on 19 October 2026, after the company's suspension of payments was ended.
Founded in 2019, AIGRO is best known for the AIGRO UP, a lightweight autonomous tool carrier that can weed and mow and work for up to ten hours between charges.
Chief executive Wim Reijersen van Buuren confirmed the bankruptcy but declined to say what caused it, saying there is little to say publicly for now. Any sale of the robots or restart of the business is in the hands of the trustee, he said, and owners and users of AIGRO robots have already been informed.
Management is trying to achieve a restart as soon as possible, Reijersen van Buuren said, and hopes to find a party to make that possible, though he could not yet say whether it would succeed.
