Day and night temperatures have risen across the country in the past few days, except in Rangpur division, easing the feeling of cold considerably. In the capital, Dhaka, both day and night temperatures have risen, by 5.5 degrees Celsius over the past two days.

The Met Office said there may be dense fog in places across the country, which in some areas could persist until noon. The dense fog may temporarily disrupt air travel, inland river transport and road communications.

Meteorologist Tariful Newaz Kabir said temperatures may remain unchanged for the next two days and may start falling from Monday or Tuesday.

On Saturday (1 February), the country's lowest temperature, 9.8 degrees Celsius, was recorded in Tetulia. Dhaka's temperature was 20.4 degrees Celsius.
