How to Make Date Halwa

Soft date halwa can be made at home with dates, ghee, a little sugar, raisins, nuts and rose water.

If you have wondered whether tasty date halwa can be made easily at home, this recipe is for you: a soft, smooth halwa that keeps the flavour and nourishment of the dates.

Ingredients


  • Dates: 2 cups
  • Sugar: 1 tablespoon
  • Ghee: 2 tablespoons
  • Raisins and nuts: 2 tablespoons
  • Rose water: 1 teaspoon

Method


First remove the date stones and boil the dates. Then blend the boiled dates into a paste. Now cook all the ingredients together on the stove, stirring constantly so that nothing sticks to the bottom of the pan. When the moisture has dried off, add the rose water, stir for a few minutes and turn off the heat. Your delicious, nourishing date halwa is ready.
