Bangi is highly nutritious. It is not very sweet, but it keeps the body cool and relieves dehydration. Bangi contains vitamin C, carbohydrates and carotene, which help with everything from high blood pressure to constipation. Drinking bangi sherbet regularly also relieves loss of appetite, sleeplessness, ulcers and acidity.

Ingredients
- 2 cups of bangi pieces
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of yoghurt
- A pinch of black salt
- Ice cubes as needed
- Mint leaves
Method
First cut the bangi into pieces. Then put the bangi, sugar, yoghurt, lemon juice and black salt in a blender together and blend well. If it is too thick, add water as needed and blend well again.
Make sure the mixture is a little thin, so it is easier to strain. Then strain it into glasses. Garnish with crushed ice and mint leaves and serve the tasty bangi sherbet. At iftar it will bring instant relief.
