As-Sunnah Foundation launches women's wing, aims to reach 5 million online

Foundation chairman Shaikh Ahmadullah has announced the Dawatus Sunnah women's wing, offering Muslim women Quran, Arabic and basic religious study along with training in dawah.

The As-Sunnah Foundation has formally launched its Dawatus Sunnah women's wing. Chairman Shaikh Ahmadullah announced it on Friday, 6 November, at a dawah workshop held for women. Through it, Muslim women in Bangladesh and abroad will be able to study the Quran, Arabic and basic religious knowledge.

Shaikh Ahmadullah said women who register will be assessed for their ability and readiness and then trained as needed. After training they will carry out dawah online and in person, with continuing study under experienced scholars and trainers.

He told the workshop that the foundation's online education programme plans to bring knowledge of the Quran and Hadith to at least 5 million people. An online learning management system is being built for this purpose.

He stressed eight points for dawah work, among them sincerity and purity of intention, speaking within the limits of one's knowledge, protecting the unity of the ummah, obedience to those in charge, regular study and the security of personal information. He also stressed the importance of family support for women who take up this work.
