Professor Muhammad Yunus, chief adviser of the interim government, has ordered that vacant posts in various government agencies and institutions be filled quickly. He told the cabinet secretary to present, at the next advisory council meeting, information on which institutions can start recruitment quickly.

Shafiqul Alam, the chief adviser's press secretary, gave the information at a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road in the capital on Thursday, 13 March.

Shafiqul Alam said the advisory council met that day at the Chief Adviser's Office in Tejgaon, chaired by the chief adviser, who ordered quick recruitment to vacant posts in government institutions.

The press secretary said thousands of posts are vacant in government agencies and institutions. They need to be filled quickly so that the government's programmes can be carried out swiftly, which is why the chief adviser gave the order.
