Make Ripe Mango Lassi in Ten Minutes

A quick recipe for a cool ripe mango lassi, made without extra sugar in no more than ten minutes.

Fruits

Ripe mangoes have arrived in the market, and on a scorching afternoon a cold glass of lassi can bring relief. Made without extra sugar, this drink is as healthy as it is tasty, and it takes no more than 10 minutes to make. Here is how to make ripe mango lassi.

Ingredients

  • Yoghurt: 2 cups
  • Ripe mangoes: 2
  • Honey or syrup: 3 tablespoons
  • Ice cubes: 6
  • Rose water: 1/8 tablespoon

Method

Peel the mangoes and cut as much flesh from the stones as you can. Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. If the mixture seems too thick, add a little cold water. Rose water is optional; leave it out if you don't have any or don't like its scent.

After blending, pour the lassi into glasses and serve. You can decorate the top with small pieces of mango or mint leaves.
