Professor Muhammad Yunus, chief adviser of the interim government, has ordered that some recommendations of the national reform commissions be implemented quickly.

Shafiqul Alam, the chief adviser's press secretary, gave the information at a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road in the capital on Thursday, 13 March.

The press secretary said a meeting of the advisory council was held that day, chaired by the chief adviser, at which he gave the order.

Shafiqul Alam said the six reform commissions have made more than two thousand recommendations. Not all of them need discussion with the political parties. Some policy recommendations can be implemented by the ministries concerned and involve no financial cost. A 39-page document is being prepared for this, and various ministries will implement them.
