Among fruits, pomegranate has many health benefits, which is why it is called a superfood. It is full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, and eating it regularly lowers the risk of various diseases.
Pomegranate contributes not only to physical health but to healthy skin too. You may be surprised to learn that pomegranate juice helps bring back the skin's natural glow, and it also helps reduce wrinkles.
Ways to use pomegranate juice
- Mix pomegranate juice with sour yoghurt and apply to the skin. Wait 15-20 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. The skin will be naturally moisturised.
- Mix equal amounts of pomegranate juice and honey and leave on the skin for 15 minutes for soft, glowing skin. Or grind oatmeal and mix it with pomegranate juice into a paste; rub it on the skin in circular motions, wait 20 minutes and wash off. This removes dead skin cells.
- To remove dark spots, mix a few drops of lemon juice with pomegranate juice and apply to the skin. Wash off after 10 minutes.
- Mix fresh aloe vera gel with pomegranate juice and leave on the skin for 30 minutes. This pack soothes irritation and cools the skin.
- To brighten the skin, mix a pinch of turmeric with pomegranate juice and apply. Leave for a while, then wash off.
- To keep skin soft and smooth, mix a few drops of almond oil with pomegranate juice. Leave the mixture on the skin for 20 minutes.
- Mix pomegranate juice with cucumber juice to make a mist and use it as a toner. It will remove excess oiliness from the skin.
