Educated young entrepreneurs are setting remarkable examples of success in agriculture. Their planned, technology-based farming contributes to the economy and creates jobs for unemployed young people. One such farmer is Kibria Gazi of Shibpur, Narsingdi.

Two decades ago, as a student, he began farming with fish in one pond at home and a single cow. Through dedication, that start has become a large integrated farm: one fish pond has grown to 60, and the farm now has 35 cows and 18,000 layer hens.

Kibria Gazi says television played a big role in his farming venture and success.

The farm employs many local farm workers, and planned farming keeps it expanding. His success is a model for young agricultural entrepreneurs to follow.
