New public transport routes and services have been introduced in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The fare on buses from Madinah airport into the city has been cut to 3.45 Saudi riyals, and a direct bus service now runs from the Haramain High Speed Railway station to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, the Prophet's Mosque.
Under the new arrangements several new bus stops link Al Jabal Park with King Fahd Plan in the Bakdo area, and a new route on the Third Ring Road runs from the Airport Plan area to the King Abdulaziz roundabout.
The routes and fare change widen public transport links between Madinah airport, the Haramain high-speed rail station and key parts of the city. The direct bus from the Haramain station in particular will make it easier for worshippers travelling to the Prophet's Mosque.
