Mohsin Abbas had a hearing at Lahore's anti-terrorism court on Friday, where a lawyer argued on his behalf. Because Abbas's family had no cash, they gave the lawyer a chicken as his fee. The chicken belonged to Abbas's nephew Ayan, whom Abbas had been bringing up. The child was seen crying as he handed his beloved chicken to the lawyer.

The lawyer said Abbas was arrested in an area called Pattoki on charges of involvement in terrorist activities. After the arrest, police demanded a bribe of 25,000 rupees to release him, and his family met the demand. But instead of freeing him, Pattoki police handed Abbas over to Lahore police. The lawyer claims Abbas was not involved in any crime and that he has strong evidence to prove it.
