If you are looking for a crisp, tasty snack, kachki fish fritters (bora) can be a great choice. This small fish is packed with nutrients, and mixing it with spices, onion and chilli to make fritters makes it even more appealing.

The easy dish can be served with hot rice at lunch or with a cup of tea in the afternoon, and it is likely to please everyone in the family, young and old. Here is the recipe.

First clean the kachki fish well, wash it several times and drain off the excess water. Because the fish are small, dirt can cling to them easily, so take particular care while washing. Then add all the remaining ingredients to the fish and mix thoroughly.

Next heat enough oil in a karahi on the stove. When the oil is hot enough, take small portions of the mixture and shape them like chops or fritters. Fry them over a medium flame until brown, then lift them out, drain the oil and serve hot.
