Almost everyone likes kabab. We usually eat beef kabab, so this time why not try a green banana (kacha kola) kabab? Once you taste this delicious, moreish kabab, you will never forget it.
Ingredients
- Green bananas: 2
- Chana dal (split chickpeas): 1 cup
- Kabab masala: 1 teaspoon
- Chaat masala powder: half a teaspoon
- Ginger and garlic paste: 1 tablespoon
- Ground black pepper: 1 teaspoon
- Chopped onion: 3-4 tablespoons
- Chopped green chillies: to taste
- Eggs: 2
- Breadcrumbs: as needed
- Salt: to taste
- Oil for frying
Method
First wash the green bananas well, cut them in two with the skin on and boil them. When the boiled bananas have cooled, blend them with the skin. Meanwhile, boil chana dal that has been soaked for 4-5 hours.
Cool the boiled dal and blend it. Then, in another bowl, mix the chopped onion, all the ground and pasted spices and salt to taste.
Now add the blended banana and dal and mix well. Shape into kababs, dip in egg, roll in breadcrumbs and keep in the normal compartment of the fridge for 10-15 minutes.
Then take them out of the fridge and deep-fry on both sides, and your delicious green banana kabab is ready. It goes wonderfully with polao or biryani.
