Eggs can be used in many dishes, and egg halwa can add a different taste to a spread of sweets. If you are tired of the usual halwa, this tasty dish is easy to make with eggs, milk, sugar and ghee.

It takes little time and a few ingredients already in the kitchen, and it suits both entertaining guests and family occasions.

First beat the eggs well in a bowl. Add the milk, sugar and ground cardamom and mix everything thoroughly. Heat ghee in a pan and pour in the egg mixture. Cook over a medium flame, stirring constantly so the mixture does not stick to the pan.

As the mixture slowly dries and turns loose and grainy, keep stirring and frying a little longer. When the halwa comes away from the sides of the pan and gives off a pleasant aroma, turn off the heat.

Finally, scatter chopped nuts and raisins over the top. Egg halwa can be served warm or cold.
