Undivided belief in Allah is a person's greatest wealth. After that, iman means believing in Muhammad (PBUH) as the greatest and final Prophet and Messenger.

Abu Zumail said that one day he told Ibn Abbas (RA) that he felt certain things in his heart. Ibn Abbas asked what they were. Abu Zumail replied: "By Allah, I will not speak of it." Ibn Abbas asked: "Something to do with doubt?"

The narrator said that Ibn Abbas then smiled and said no one had been spared this, to the point that Allah revealed: "So if you (O Prophet) are in doubt about what We have revealed to you, ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters." (Surah Yunus, verse 94)

The narrator said Ibn Abbas (RA) then told him that whenever he felt anything of this kind of doubt arising in his mind, he should recite: "He is the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden, and He has full knowledge of all things." (Surah Hadid, verse 3) (Abu Dawud)

Ibn Abbas (RA) also spoke of what to do whenever Satan's whisperings about Allah and Islam appear in a person's heart.
