Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with three organisations to plant trees in a planned way, finding new spaces while keeping the existing trees.

The three organisations are LankaBangla, Green Savers and Community Town Federation. The project will be funded by Chevron Bangladesh.

The agreement was signed on 5 October in the conference room on the sixth floor of Nagar Bhaban, the DNCC headquarters. Chief town planner Maksud Hashem signed for DNCC, founder Ahsan Rony for Green Savers, group company secretary Mostafa Kamal for LankaBangla and president Nasrin Akter for Community Town Federation.

DNCC mayor Md Atiqul Islam was present as chief guest. He spoke of the plan to plant trees by finding new spaces while keeping the existing ones, and assured the organisations of continued full cooperation.
