The summer vegetable growing competition 2023-24 was inaugurated at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU). The event was organised by the Bangladesh Agricultural University Extension Centre (BAUEC) in its conference room at 10.30am on Saturday (25 May).
At the opening, seed, fertiliser and other inputs were distributed among about 18 male and female farmers from different unions of Mymensingh Sadar upazila.
The event was chaired by BAUEC director Professor Dr Muhammad Nasir Uddin and moderated by the centre's additional director Dr Enamul Haque Sarkar. The dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Professor Dr Md Golam Rabbani, was present as chief guest.
BAU treasurer and Agricultural Economics professor Dr Md Saidur Rahman attended as special guest, along with other invited guests.
