Grain trader ADM says its regenerative agriculture programmes engaged more than 56,000 farmers on about 4.6 million acres across 11 countries and 10 crops in 2025, according to its fourth annual regenerative agriculture report, AgriBusiness Global reports.
Compared with regional benchmarks, ADM says the programmes delivered about 946,000 metric tons of CO2-equivalent reductions.
"Resilience starts on the farm. By improving and protecting soil health, farmers can be better equipped to adapt to changing conditions and maintain productive operations," said Greg Morris, president of ADM's Ag Services and Oilseeds business.
The company has widened partnerships with food makers and retailers, including initiatives with PepsiCo and Mars and with General Mills and Walmart, which link farmers, ADM and downstream buyers to scale the practices. The report sets out ADM's definitions and principles, programme updates for North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific, how it links farmers to technical help, incentives and buyers, and findings from farmer and consumer surveys.
"For this progress to last, regenerative agriculture has to work on the farm and across the value chain," Morris said, adding that this means listening to farmers, using data on outcomes and building market demand. The figures are ADM's own.
