Missouri corn races to harvest as drought spreads across the south of the state
Nearly half of Missouri's corn was mature and 14% harvested by 6 September, well ahead of normal, while the US Drought Monitor reports expanding moderate to extreme drought in the south-central and south-west of the state and USDA forecasts a corn yield of 181 bushels an acre, four below last year.
