The Meteorological Department's forecast for the 24 hours from Friday morning says rain or thundershowers with gusty wind may occur at one or two places in the Panchagarh region and Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. Weather conditions may change slightly over the following three days.

In the 24 hours to 6am on Friday, Cox's Bazar recorded the highest rainfall of 60 mm, with 12 mm in Chattogram and 9 mm in Rangamati. There was no rain in Dhaka. The highest temperature on Thursday was 33.5 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda, and the lowest on Friday was 20.0 degrees Celsius at Badalgachhi in Naogaon.

The forecast also said the south-west monsoon has withdrawn from Bangladesh. The extended part of a low lies over the north Bay of Bengal, and the monsoon is weak over the north Bay.
