Parents take children to the zoo to introduce them to different animals, letting them learn while having fun. But a recent video has left everyone stunned.

The video shows a woman visiting a zoo throwing her three-year-old daughter into a bear enclosure. It happened at a zoo in Uzbekistan.

She has been charged with attempted murder. At Tashkent zoo, the mother was standing with her daughter in front of the bear enclosure when she suddenly dropped the child over the railing into the enclosure, where a bear was walking about.

Startled by the child's sudden fall, the bear moved away in fear. After throwing her child in, the woman walked away quite calmly, as if nothing had happened.

The child fell about 16 feet. Fortunately the bear did not harm her. Zoo staff arrived shortly afterwards and rescued her at once. The video shows six staff members running up, one of whom picked the child up.

A Daily Mail report said the mother has been detained and charged with attempted murder, but her name has not been released. If convicted she could face 15 years in prison.

The injured child has been admitted to hospital with head injuries and cuts in several places from the fall.

A zoo spokesperson said a woman threw a small child into the bear enclosure in front of other visitors, and her motive was still not clear.
