BNP chairman Tarique Rahman has opened the 'Free Animal Clinic' of the Bangladesh Animal Welfare Association (BAWA). Tarique Rahman is the association's chief patron.

The clinic was formally opened on Wednesday, 11 February, in Banani in the capital.

People involved told the event that the initiative is an important step towards ensuring medical care for stray and helpless animals. The clinic will provide treatment, primary care and necessary advice free of charge.
