Sukher Khamar Agro Village, built on 30 bighas of land, is described as the country's first integrated farming project of its kind. It is pursuing sustainable farming and agro tourism by making farming enthusiasts its partners.

The project's 1,000 owners have now formally received their land deeds, giving these partners legal recognition of their ownership of the project's land, farm and resort.

At the "Founders Night 2026" event at the Marriott Convention Hall in Dhanmondi, Dhaka, on the afternoon of Saturday, 25 July, Sukher Khamar Agro Limited chairman Md Tasdikh Habib and managing director Jobayer Islam handed the founders their land ownership papers and lifetime membership certificates. It was also announced that the price of each share in the project has been raised from Tk 2,95,000 to Tk 3,45,000.

The chief guest was State Minister for Youth and Sports Aminul Haque, and the special guest was Mosharaf Hossain, MP for Bogura-4.

Aminul Haque said the government is working to create jobs and to turn educated young people into entrepreneurs. Various training programmes are being run in the country in step with the growth of the creative economy worldwide, he said, and community-based initiatives like Sukher Khamar can play an important role in creating new entrepreneurs and strengthening the rural economy.

Chairman Md Tasdikh Habib said the founders are not just investors but the owners and founders of the organisation, and that keeping their trust is the company's main commitment.

Managing director Jobayer Islam said: "We are not just building a farm or a resort. We are creating a sustainable model that combines agriculture, tourism and rural development, which will bring positive change to a village's economy and employment."

The organisers said the project stands on 30 bighas in Bagoil village of Kahaloo upazila, Bogura. Because of its visible progress and the rise in the value of its assets, each share has been priced at Tk 3,45,000 instead of Tk 2,95,000 from this July.

The authorities said more than 2,000 visitors have already toured the agro village. They claim the project is boosting the local economy while creating jobs and helping empower women.
