Bangladesh Wildlife Service Foundation has rescued a python from a house in Sreemangal, Moulvibazar.

The python was rescued at about 9:30pm on Monday 8 June from the house of UK expatriate Motlib Khan at Pubasha Khan Manzil in Sreemangal town.

According to local sources, the python entered the house on Monday night, causing panic among the household. They contacted Bangladesh Wildlife Service Foundation, whose director Swapan Deb Sajal and environmental activist Rajdeep Deb Deep quickly arrived at the scene. They rescued the python unharmed and handed it over to the Sreemangal forest range office.

Sreemangal forest range officer Md Nazmul Islam confirmed the matter and said the python will be released into the forest.
