A large python has been found at a fishery in Sreemangal, Moulvibazar. On receiving the news, Swapan Dev Sajal of the Wildlife Service Foundation rescued the snake, which is 10 feet long and weighs 14 kg.

On the afternoon of Saturday 19 November, workers at the fishery of Musabbir Al Masud in Nowagaon village, Sreemangal upazila, saw a large python while at work. Frightened, they informed the Bangladesh Wildlife Service Foundation in Sreemangal, and its director Swapan Dev Sajal went to the fishery and rescued the snake.

Sajal Dev said the rescued python was 10 feet long and weighed 14 kg, and seemed somewhat ill. It had been handed over to the Forest Department, he said, and if it recovered it would be released into Lawachara National Park on Sunday.
