Selling the tree at flowering
Bright red litchi clusters look as if they were arranged by design. Each litchi sells for about 5 to 6 taka in the market. Farmers do not have to go far to get this money: as soon as the trees flower, they are sold.
Mohammad Shamim is one of those who buy the trees. Buying litchi orchards each year is his family profession.
