Deer Skin Recovered in Shyamnagar

The Forest Department recovered a deer skin in a raid on a house in Shyamnagar, Satkhira, but the poachers escaped.

The Forest Department has recovered a deer skin in a raid at Shyamnagar in Satkhira.

The skin was recovered at around 10:30pm on Tuesday (6 April) from the house of Anchhar Mallik in Abad Chandipur Khosalkhali village of Shyamnagar upazila. The poachers, however, sensed the raid and fled.

Abu Sayeed, officer of the Kadamtala station of the Sundarbans West Forest Division, said that acting on a tip-off, he and his team raided the house of Anchhar Ali and recovered the skin. No one has been arrested over the incident.
