What Happens If You Eat Too Many Oranges?

Oranges bring vitamin C, fibre and antioxidants in winter, but eating too many can cause stomach problems and may not suit people with kidney trouble or allergies.

Fruits

Oranges are very good for health. They contain plenty of vitamin C, which is why people rely on them to boost immunity in winter. Although winter is the main season for the fruit, oranges are available to some extent all year round.

So it makes sense to enjoy their taste as much as possible while winter lasts. Oranges have many health benefits, but can eating too many of them cause any problems?

Oranges help keep winter colds and coughs at bay. People also tend to drink less water at this time of year, and oranges can serve as an alternative source of fluid.

They play an essential role in skin care too. The vitamin C in oranges helps the skin produce collagen. Oranges also contain fibre, antioxidants and minerals, and are genuinely good for overall health.

But even with healthy food, eating too much of anything is not good. Oranges do protect against digestive upsets, but eating too many can cause stomach problems.

Oranges are also citrus fruit, and doctors advise people with kidney problems to avoid fruit of this family. People with allergies are also better off not eating too many oranges.
