A 13-year-old boy named Mohammad Ifaz has died after falling from a tree he had climbed to pick mangoes in Companiganj, Noakhali. The accident happened on Tuesday afternoon in ward 7 of Charhajari union; the report gives the date as 30 June.

Mohammad Ifaz was the son of Mohammad Sohel, of Shafiqul Alam Shahid's new house in the ward, and a class eight student at Abu Majhir Hat High School.

Charhajari union parishad chairman Mohiuddin Sohag confirmed the boy's death to Jago News on the morning of Wednesday, 31 May.

He said that after coming home from school, Ifaz climbed a tree to pick mangoes, fell and was injured. He was taken to Companiganj upazila health complex, where a doctor advised taking him to Dhaka for better treatment. He died in Cumilla on the way to Dhaka.
