The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested two people with two tokay geckos in Mymensingh. The information came in a press release from the RAB office in Mymensingh on Wednesday afternoon, 14 June.

The arrested are Md Enamul Haque, 45, son of the late Shamsul Haque of Payari village in Phulpur upazila, and Md Ripon Mia, 32, son of Abdur Rashid of the same area.

They were arrested on Tuesday evening in the Garpayari area of the upazila.

RAB said it raided the area on a tip-off and detained Enamul Haque and Ripon Mia in Garpayari village. Two tokay geckos were recovered from them.

Md Anwar Hossain, senior assistant director of RAB-14 in Mymensingh, said the two had collected the geckos from Sylhet. A case has been filed against them under the wildlife conservation law and they have been sent to court.
