Eleven people, including women and children, have been injured by dog bites in Mirzapur, Tangail. The incident happened on Wednesday (10 March) in Bawar Kumarjani village in Mirzapur municipality.

Local people said that on Wednesday morning Siam (2), son of Ashraf Mia of the village, was playing in the yard of his home when a dog suddenly came and bit him.

The dog then bit 11 people in the village, including Fazlu Mia (50), Gani Mia (50), Helena Akter (20) and Habibur's son.

Helena Akter has been admitted to Kumudini Hospital, while the others received first aid at the hospital. Moktar Hossain and Jahangir Hossain of Bawar Kumarjani village said a dog had bitten and injured 11 people in the village, including women and children.
