Monkeys and langurs are quite good at imitating people, and some of their habits resemble ours. As people gradually adapt to modern technology, it seems these animals may be trying to follow suit.

That, at least, is the impression from a recently published video. A clip that has gone viral on social media shows a monkey sitting at an office computer and working just like a person.

The short video shared on Facebook shows a langur sitting in front of a computer. Papers beside it flutter in the wind as it types something on the keyboard with great concentration, exactly the way people type at a computer.

The post with the video says it happened at the inquiry office of a railway station in West Bengal. The video, however, could not be verified.

People there were greatly amused by the langur's antics as it sat on a chair in a room full of documents. At first glance, anyone would think it was writing something on the computer.

Curious people crowded round to watch the langur at work and laughed at its antics, though many also praised it.

As soon as the video was shared, many liked it and commented. Many posted laughing emojis, and some left quite funny comments.
